In this video, I’m going to walk you through the steps on how to publish one of our articles using WordPress.
The process is the same regardless if you are using a self-hosted installation of WordPress or have a free account through WordPress.com.
To get started, you’ll need to be logged in to the WordPress dashboard.
Once inside, locate the Posts menu and click on Add New.
You’ll now see an Add New Post page. This is where you’ll create your first post.
The first field or box is where you’ll want to enter the title of your post.
The second field or bigger box is the Post formatting section which is also known as the Post Editor. This is where you’ll paste the main content of our articles.
But before you do, make sure you have selected the Text Editor.
To select the Text Editor, look up at the top right side of the Post Editor.
You’ll see two tabs that provide you with two modes of editing your posts.
They are the Visual Editor and the Text Editor.
Since our articles are hand-coded in HTML, you’ll need to use the Text Editor.
If you don’t, the links we’ve added that help with On-page SEO won’t work and the HTML tags we use for formatting will make the article look weird.
So go ahead and click the Text tab which will reveal a plain-text HTML version of the Post Editor.
Next, simply paste our article into the Text Editor box.
You’ll then need to copy and paste the title of our article into the first field.
If you’d like to include the image we provided for the article, you’ll now need to upload it into the WordPress Media Library.
Most doctors prefer the image to be published at the beginning of the article.
If that’s your preference, simply place your cursor in front of the first sentence of the first paragraph, then click the Add Media button that’s located just above the Post formatting section.
Next, either drag and drop your image into the Upload Files section or click the Select Files button to locate and upload our image directly from your computer into the Media Library.
Our images are ready to be used in Full Size mode so make sure you select Full Size before you click on the Insert into post button.
Now that the image has been uploaded and inserted within the article, click the Publish button to take your new chiropractic blog post live.
And that’s it!
That’s all you need to know on how to publish our articles using WordPress.
